Grout & Darlington was established in 1952 to rebuild engineer's machine tools and since then, has expanded to include the designing and building of special purpose machine tools, retrofits and CNC applications.

The complex nature of machine tool remanufacturing (and the lack of information available from the original manufacturers), makes close personal supervision by the principals essential. For quality control to be maintained, our workforce has been deliberately kept below twenty people. This policy has resulted in an unparalleled integrity and stability in an industry that has seen a multitude of company withdrawals and failures over recent years.

Grout & Darlington's foremost aim is to produce high quality remanufactured and retrofitted machine tools. We also do CNC and automation retrofits and breakdown emergency service.

Our highly qualified technicians, engaged solely in electronic and mechanical breakdown service, respond quickly to emergency breakdowns.
