Berthiez Vertical Borer OSAI 10/510i with WinMedia Touch Panel retrofit Conventional to CNC Conversion. This machine, which had electronics and mechanical technology designed in the 60's has been transformed into a modern CNC Machine tool with excellent machining capacity.
This has been done at a fraction of the cost when compared to replacing the machine with the same capacity new.
Older large machine tools are an excellent platform to retrofit; they are normally made extremely solid in their construction when compared with some newer machine tools on the market.

OSAI 10/110 Coventional to CNC conversion on  Hollow Spindle Lathe

Special Purpose Machinery - Grout & Darlington, using innovation and current technology have just completed the design and manufacturing of an automated tile palletising machine.
The machine is used to unload floor tiles from a tile press and load them onto pallets.
The machine loads the tiles onto the pallet using a vacuum head, the position of the head is controlled by an OSAI 10/110 CNC control in conjunction with two OSAI DAC AC Servo motors.
The tiles are positioned and loaded at an axis speed of 50 meters per minute.
The reason for building the machine locally was made simple by lower cost and on going local support and spare parts availability from Grout & Darlington.

Givi Misure was established in 1979. In the following years, thanks to the steady stream of investments for promoting the development of new products, the Company made a name for itself in increasingly significant market segments both in Italy and abroad. In 1991 the share parcel in Sipe Automazione and Metromil was acquired. The re-processing of the know-how then gave further thrust to the design of opto-electronic devices, which in 1993 won acknowledgements awarded by the Milan Chamber of Commerce for their technological innovations. In 1995 Givi Misure moved to their new premises in Nova Milanese. In 1997 an additional important acknowledgement was achieved with certification according to
ISO 9001.
